• Q1 - My husband and I have been married for a few years and we have a child. His mother stays with us but the problem is that she is constantly meddling into our affairs. Although this is my house, she is constantly budding into my private life. What should I do? 

  A - Thank you for sharing and may Allah bless you and your family. We advise that you show patience and compassion. Try to see her as your own mother who at this moment does not have her own place to stay at which naturally brings about frustrations and sadness (especially from the side of one whom doesnt their own home!).
  
  As for your husband, we advise that he learns to strike a proper balance between his duties as a husband and a son. Compassion again is the key.
  
  Like in other cases similar to this, we advise that you visit your local Islamic center for Islamic counselling. Counselling is often helpful in resolving such matters.
