• Q1 - If najis clothes are put into a washing machine, can one assume they have been made tahir? What if there is an extra rinse cycle? 

  A - Najis clothes need to be washed a total of four times. The first wash makes all the water najis. Once the water if flushed out, it needs to be rinsed an additional three times by the machine. Your machine therefore needs to empty and replenish itself four times for your clothes to become ritually pure again.

• Q2 - Asalamalykum,If an item becomes greasy with a najasa, i.e. handled by someone consuming a pork-containing product, after how long can one assume the grease dried out and no longer transfers najasa? 

  A - Salamun Alaykum
  
  May Allah bless you and your family. The transfer of najaasah happens only through wetness. Therefore if your hands are dry najaasah will not transfer. Also you can wash your hands and make them taahir and then the najaasah will also not transfer.

• Q3 - "Salam, if a piece on the floor became unclean (najis) through blood, sperm or alcohol is it possible to make it clean (tahir) by spraying water from a spray bottle on it? The water would be sprayed and taken away with some dry tissue. Then water would be sprayed again on the same unclean place. It would be the same procedure to make it clean like it would be with a bottle of water just instead I would use a spray bottleIs there any marja who would allow to use that?Thank you very much and Ramadan KaremW salam 

  A - Salamun Alaykum. May Allah bless you and your family. Yes you may use a spray bottle. First the ayn najasah must be wiped away and then after you need to spray and wipe with dry 3 times (you must use new tissues or a tahir cloth).

• Q4 - When I'm done urinating, how many times do I have to wash by genitals after bringing out the urine? How about after I poop? I've also noticed that sometimes after I poop I may have a tear because of constipation, how many times do I have to wash myself if blood comes out of my anus? 

  A - Perform istibra (for method see: https://www.sistani.org/english/book/48/2124/) If even after istibra you continue to have this problem just make sure you are taahir for salaah. If blood comes one time is enough after you wash the blood away.
